Priority and Goal Setting

We design and facilitate working sessions to help organizations distill their visions down into tangible goals and priorities that can be used to ensure teams have a clear understanding of where they are headed and how their work fits in. We take an inclusive approach to the design and facilitation process that ensures voices at all levels of an organization are heard and incorporated.

Prior projects include: development of a logic model for an organization merger, facilitated a planning process to establish new outcomes for an evolving organization, designed and facilitated an all staff process to develop shared values around diversity, equity and inclusion, designed a process for establishing annual priorities and team and individual specific goals aligned to those priorities for a school district.

Change Management

We help organizations design for and implement big changes to further their mission and live out their values. We start by providing clarity around the changes an organization is wishing to make, and then develop a plan for buy-in, design for complimentary organizational structural changes, and help build out any new processes necessary for implementation.

Prior projects include: designed and implemented a shift in policy that more equitably redistributed $6M to schools to fund partnerships; developed, gained buy in and implemented a new model for making school budgetary decisions; led a program team through a shift in their model that moved employees from serving as generalists to specialists in their field; developed a cross-functional committee to make more equitable decisions around school budgeting.

Process Improvement

We map out existing processes within an organization, and assess the areas where adjustments are needed to ensure transparency, equity and efficiency. We then troubleshoot and build capacity of organizations to implement adjustments.

Prior projects include: developed a guide for non-profit organizations to partner with the Boston Pubic Schools, provided training and developed an online system to support them through the process; conducted staffing capacity assessment and redesign to better establish and meet organizational goals.

System Roll Outs

We support organizations who are rolling out new systems to gather input, gain buy-in and develop and execute on work plans that lead to full adoption.

Prior projects include: supported the Boston Public Schools through adoption and implementation of a new financial planning system; oversaw the development and implementation of the first ever online system for capturing and managing Boston Public School partnerships

Budget Development & Project Planning

We support organizations in taking their visions and strategies and putting them into action. We do this by helping to develop budgets that compliment the work and values organizations are trying to accomplish, and creating detailed project plans to ensure that all members of a team or organization have the information they need to be successful in their work.

Prior projects include: developed and managed $1.4billion operating budget for the Boston Public Schools, working with stakeholders across the city to ensure that resources were distributed equitably and strategically, and financially sound budget decisions are made; oversaw the development developed and executed complex project plans for high leverage, multi-faceted projects, including BPS budget season.

Staff Support and Coaching

We provide professional development and coaching for managers and staff in navigating implementation challenges and pushing through barriers to accomplish the outcomes they are setting out to deliver on.

Prior projects include: 10 years of experience serving in supervisory roles, including supervision and development of new leaders within non-profit organizations; led new supervisors group to help new supervisors learn key skills and support one another in their development.
